  I thought delivering children was a curse. (i.e. birth pains)

  Would Elders You Knew Have Ordered Stonings If They Could Have?

  for those of you who used to be jws, or who are active, if the society was in charge of the earth, how many people do you think you would have seen stoned during your lifetimes?

  i realize some elders can be zealous about their work, but if they'd actually had administrative authority to have kh members stoned to death, how many elders did you know who would have been zealous enough to really order them?.

  did you know any elders who would have ordered stonings, even if the condemned people had been willing to repent?.

  Anyone Else See Les Miserables?

  i went to see it today - by myself (mr bee is on a golf junket).

  i was glad that that i was by myself because i cried so much at the end, i wouldn't have wanted to be with anyone who wasn't crying - and that would not have been mr bee!.

  les miserables the current film is adapted from what is considered one of the half-dozen greatest novels of the past 150 years and one of the longest novels ever written.

  Well, I may go see this movie that is bringing men to tears. Getting a Golden Globe Award too.

  I saw the Fredric March/Charles Laughten (both personal favorites) version this morning . It was a drama.

  It's time to see a musical versain of a favorite novel.

  i have had to make some very difficult decisions in recent days.

  in one way i feel good about takeing care of myself and my mother who is on her dead bed in the room next to me.

  mom has live with me since 2005 and started to make her journey to the other side on christmas day.

  I've been there too Roberta.

  Music helped hide the sound of the oxegen machine. MY loved one's favorite place was Hawaii, he loved the music. So that is what brought him a smile . That and a dab of orange oil on a moist cloth. Orange oil brings a smile. It's the Happy Oil.

  It may feel she is delusional or nonresponsive, it's hard to know for sure. Holding hands and reminising about funny, happy memories will do you good and I belive your Mother too.

  It's hard watching a loved one go . But you are keeping a rational mind.

  I admire you for taking care of your Mother for these last years.

  Protect her as best as you can, so she has a peaceful journey.

  Weird "new world" artwork from the 2013 calendar

  my mother-in-law has a strange obsession with calendars, and orders the society's calendar each year.

  this year's calendar is especially weird.

  it features images depicting future events - in particular, the society's vision of the new world order.. i've taken the opportunity to scan some of the images for you all to check out.. please note - there are captions for each of the images, but i don't have the english language version of the calendar so i'd rather just quote the scripture used so as not to reveal which country i'm in.. .

  Taliking about it is one thing. doing it is another.....Look at those bloody photos. Repulsive to everyone!

  We are far from the mideast and I really dont think anyone would have the stomach for it.

  But that is just my feelings.

  I dont know Borges.

  While still a JW mom, I woud have given my children blood and let god take it out on me. You would die for your children. Right?

  I cant imagine stoning someone.

  The elders I have known, I cant imagine them stoning anyone. But they would let a family member die over the blood issue.

  My mom recently told me ,,,have it in writing or you dont get blood. Funny, becasue I respect her wishes.

  I Imagine if you cant comprhend the thought , you are not like them.

  "the mess in the west"

  last night the folks on the weather channell were referring to our rainstorm as "the mess in the west.

  " they always have to have a catch phrase, don't they.

  i understand oregon is getting dumped on, up to a foot of rain in some areas, but we're closer to the southern end of the storm and they say we're just getting a few inches.. anway, isn't rain glorious?
